Poha Aloo Cutlets and Balls: A Delicious Indian Snack



Ingredients

30-35 mins

  1. 1 Cup Poha

  2. 1 Onion, finely chopped

  3. 2-3 Boiled potatoes, mashed

  4. 1 Green chilli, chopped

  5. as required Oil for frying

  6. 1 tsp Ginger garlic paste

  7. 1 tbsp Coriander powder

  8. 2 tbsp Rice flour

  9. 1 tsp Garam Masala

  10. 1-2 tsp Red chilli powder

  11. 11/2 tsp Turmeric powder

  12. 1 tsp Chaat masala

  13. as per taste Salt

  14. As required Water

  15. As required Chopped Fresh Coriander leaves (optional)

Cooking Instructions

Step 1

Take 1 cup of poha in a bow. Wash, Rinse and drain the water. Let it Soak for 3-4 minutes.


Step 2

Then in a mixing bowl, add mashed potatoes, onions, ginger garlic paste, green chillies, chaat masala, coriander powder, rice flour, garam masala, red chilli powder, Soaked Poha and salt.


Step 3

Sprinkle some water if required. Mix well and mash slightly. Now make small balls or flat Patties from the mixture. Keep it aside.


Step 4

Now heat oil in Kadhai. Once the oil is hot, add poha patties and balls in batches. Cook until it becomes crisp and brown from both sides.


Step 5

Once done, transfer them on kitchen tissue, then transfer to serving plate. And it's ready to eat. Serve hot with tomato ketchup, tamarind or green chutney.
